Thanks for sending your question our way, Robert. We're happy to help!
We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that while you are in Canada, you may use any TD Canada Trust ATMs at no surcharges or fees. That's right – TD Bank Customers have access to thousands of free TD Canada Trust ATMs all over Canada! We are happy to confirm that we currently have just over 2,800 Green Machine ATMs across Canada: https://go.td.com/2dJLWr7.
Please know that although you are a TD Bank U.S. Customer, our TD ATMs in Canada do not dispense US Currency, only Canadian currency. Also, please keep in mind that the exchange rate you receive at any TD ATM is not set by the bank. Foreign exchange rates are published by the government and fluctuate daily, and customers will pay the VISA exchange rate at the time of withdrawal.
You may contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 to have a Customer Service Representative place a travel notification on your accounts.
If you are enrolled in Online Banking, you may also send us a secure message to place a Travel Notification. If you are not enrolled in Online Banking, please click here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. Please have your account number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number and Social Security Number available.
Once you are enrolled, please sign into your account and click on the "Customer Service" tab and then select "Send a Message." If you choose this option, please include the exact travel dates, destinations and if there will be any connecting flight if applicable.
You can always visit your local TD Bank Store and one of our Customer Service Representatives can place the travel notes for you. Please visit: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find TD Bank locations and hours near you.
Please keep in mind, a Travel Notification helps us recognize unauthorized transactions on your account. Please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
