Thanks for stopping by TD Helps with your question, Michael! We're glad that you are considering us for your banking needs while you are at school.
Before we begin, we'd like to point out that a fee isn't charged to close an account with us. Kindly note that depending on the account type you choose, a minimum daily balance and/or a monthly maintenance fee could apply.
We invite you to take a look at the accounts we currently offer by clicking here: http://bit.ly/Wczmq0 for a list of checking accounts and here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 for a list of our savings accounts. For a personalized recommendation for a checking account click here: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU or if you prefer, we also have a savings selector tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
There are three ways to open an account with us: Online, via phone or at your local TD Bank Store. If you choose to open the account online, please visit www.tdbank.com, select the account(s) that you'd like to open, click on "Open Account" and follow the prompts. You may call our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 and one of our Banking Specialists can open the account(s) for you in minutes! Another option is visiting a TD Bank during lobby hours. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
We hope this helps, Michael and feel free to let us know if you have any additional questions!
