Good morning, Beverly.
We're happy to hear that you're interested in opening a business account with TD Bank, and we'll be more than happy to help with any questions or concerns you may have.
Before we begin, we'd first like to take a moment to go over the different types of business accounts offered by TD Bank. We first offer Small Business Checking accounts, and you may click here: https://go.td.com/2lg0QHF to learn more. We also offer a Savings account, and to review this account, you may use this link: https://go.td.com/2lLYIL4. If you're having trouble deciding, don't worry, we have a Business Account Selector Tool here: https://go.td.com/2qddtcK which can help by making a personalized recommendation based on you and your business's needs.
When you're ready to open your account, we ask that you visit a TD Store location. It's important to note that when doing so, anyone who would like to be added as an account signer must be present, and any signers will need to have a valid form of photo I.D. handy, as well as their Social Security Number.
As you mentioned that you're from Canada, for non-resident aliens opening a business account, two valid forms of ID will be required, as well as a W-8Ben, which can be completed during the account opening process. Additionally, please be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business. http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you're unfamiliar with TD Bank's locations, you're welcome to use the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest Store location, as well as their lobby hours and contact information.
We'd also like to take a moment to mention that the requirements and documents needed to open a business account can vary depending on the state your business is registered in, as well as the state where you would like to open your account. Because of this, before your visit, we'd like to recommend that you call and speak with your nearest TD Store location, during lobby. Feel free to use the link above to find their contact information. You're also welcome to call and speak with one of our Small Business Banking Specialist, 24/7, at 1-800-493-7562, option 2.
We can't wait to have you as part of our TD family, Beverly.
Thanks again for stopping by TD Helps, and have a great day!
