Good morning Avinash,
Thank you for thinking of TD and great question!
We're happy to tell you that we do offer Student Checking accounts for full-time students under the age of 24, and this account doesn't require any minimum balance at this time! In addition, if your students choose to open a savings in conjunction with a Student Checking, this would also have no balance requirement. Kindly note that we would recommend maintaining at least a small amount in the accounts so that they remain open; however, other than this, no balance requirements would apply. You're more than welcome to review our checking accounts via this page: http://bit.ly/1NsFpdX and our saving accounts here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9.
If you have questions about this, Avinash, you can always reach us 24/7 at 888-751-9000, or you can stop in to any of our Stores listed here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. International students would be welcome to open an account with us by visiting us in person and bringing two forms of ID, one of which would be a valid non-US Passport with photo or valid non-US Passport and Visa with photo, and the second from this list:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Thanks so much again for choosing TD and we hope to meet you and your students soon!
