Hi Guillaume! Thanks for stopping by TD Helps.
We're so glad to hear that you're interested in opening an account with TD!
We see that you're writing in to us from Montreal. Please know that you've reached us here at TD Bank in the United States. If you're inquiry is in regard to opening a non-profit account at TD Canada Trust, we'd like to help get you in touch with a representative there that tell you exactly what you'll need.
You can start by posing your question to our friends at TD Helps in Canada, by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1QBOF4U. If you'd like to speak with a representative at TD Canada Trust directly, you can call their 24/7 Customer Service line at 866-222-3456. We also want to provide you with a link to all of TD Canada Trust's contact info. You can find that by clicking here: https://go.td.com/2tp27BR.
If you are planning to open your account here in the U.S., we'd be glad to point you in the right direction. To start, please know that all business accounts must be opened in person at a TD Bank Store.
For non-profit accounts, we will require the Fictitious Name / Trade Name Registration for the organization name (if applicable), as well as, the Chapter and By-laws of the Association or a copy of minutes of last meeting with new elected officers (if applicable). We may also require a business license, bill/invoice mailed to the business, or other correspondence in the business name.
Because some states may have additional requirements, we recommend contacting the Store you intend to visit prior to your trip to the U.S. Our Store Representatives are the best source of information on requirements for their states. To find hours and contact info for any of our Stores, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give our Small Business Banking Team a call 24/7 at 800-493-7562, option 2.
We hope you're having a wonderful day, Guillaume!
