Thank you for reaching out to us on TD Helps, Tyquell. We'll be sure to get you in the right direction regarding answering your question about Secondary account holders.
Typically, each account holder must be over the age of 18 with a few exceptions. Some accounts can include a secondary account number under the age of 18 with a custodian 18 years old or older. We invite you to visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd to view and compare our personal Checking accounts, or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnUfor help with selecting a Checking account that is the best fit you. To view and compare personal Savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 , or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM; which can help you choose the best Savings account for your needs.
You can open the account via online, telephone or at any TD Bank location during lobby hours once you decide on the account type that best suits your needs. To open the account via online, click on the "Open Account" button below the account you choose and fill in the required fields. You can open an account via telephone 24/7 by calling our Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 and one of our Banking Specialists can open the account for you. You can then visit any local TD Bank Store with the secondary account holder to be added onto your account if you open the account over the phone or online. Please make sure both parties, including you, bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find TD Bank near you, if you choose to visit a Store.
If your question was about a different account type, feel free to call Customer Service at the number listed above, visit a TD Store during lobby hours to speak with a Representative or submit a new question with more information.
We hope we have answered all your questions for you, Tyquell. If you have any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to write back. Enjoy your night!
