Does conversion fee apply for overseas withdrawals on checking accounts?

It sounds as though you may be concerned that your TD Bank Checking account will be assessed a fee when performing an international withdrawal, and here at TD Bank, we're happy to provide our Customer's with debit cards that do not charge foreign transaction fees!
While you will not be charged any foreign transaction fees for purchases made with a merchant using your debit card, it's important to note that, depending on your account type, you may be charged a Non-TD ATM fee for any withdrawals that are to be performed at an international ATM. Additionally, please also know that when an international transaction is initiated using your debit card; the funds will need to be converted to U.S. Dollars. While no fee is assessed for this conversation, please know that this can cause the amount of your transaction to reflect differently once posted to your account.

Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'.
If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
