Hi Addy! Thanks for visiting us at TD Helps.
If you've deposited a check into your U.S. TD Bank account that was from a foreign bank, it was likely sent out for collection. Once we issue a final credit to the account, the currency exchange rate may be already factored in. There are instances when you will see a separate transaction for the currency adjustment. You should also receive a letter by mail that breaks down what the rate was at the time the check was collected and the amount of the adjustment.
You can find additional information about funds availability on pages 40-44 of the Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: https://go.td.com/2nf0JAI. In particular, you'll find info on deposits of foreign checks on page 43.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope you're having a great day, Addy!
