if i want to pay principle quicker and make additional payments when i go in person i tell them that. When i'm online there is no where to specify principle where does the payment go .

At this time, there is no separate option to make principal payments online.
In order to ensure any additional payments are applied to principal, we recommend sending us a secured message or contacting a Financial Solutions Group Representative once a payment is submitted. To send a secure message, please log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once successfully logged in, you will need to look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side, and select 'Send a secure message'. Our response time is typically 24 hours; however we strive to reply sooner. In addition, you may also apply payments directly to principal by visiting your local TD Bank Store location as you mentioned, or sending in a check by mail (noting in the memo: Principal Only).
