My husband and I received a State check that is in both of our names. He is going to sign it and I want to deposit the check in my account. Does he need to come to the bank with me as he is not on my account?

Thank you for reaching us on TD Helps, Debra. We'd be happy to help.
You may deposit the check that has been issued to you and your husband into your account. To deposit a check written to you both, he would need to sign the back of the check with you and you both would need to be present at the time of deposit. An Endorsement Authorization & Release form must be completed at the time of the deposit. You can visit any TD Store during lobby hours to complete the transaction. For Store hours and locations near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please note; government or insurance checks can only be presented for payment from the person listed on the "Payable to" line of the check.
We also invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for more information on our Funds Availability (pages 35-37).
If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to us 24/7, at 888-751-9000.
We hope this helps, Debra and have a lovely day.
