I used the card at a restaurant and they did not ask for pin. What I want to know is if it acts like a credit card where I will have interest or does it act like an electronic check where the balance is subtracted from my checking?

Welcome to TD Helps, Mirza.
A TD Bank Visa Debit Card can be used as “credit” anywhere Visa is accepted. This being said, when you use your TD Bank Visa Debit Card and select “credit” as the payment method, the merchant will usually require a signature if the purchase is made in person or the three-digit security code printed on the back of your check card if the purchase is made online. The transaction may take 3-5 business days to post to your account; however, it will be deducted from your available balance right away.
If you'd rather use your PIN when using your TD Bank Visa Debit Card, you'll want to choose "debit" as the payment option. This way the merchant will prompt you for your PIN in order to complete the transaction. These type of transactions posts to your account the next business day.
