When placing a reorder for personal checks, Harland noted the ending check number of order would exceed 4 digits and requested reset of starting number to 1001 ... provided bank permits such a reset. Does TD Bank permit reset to 1001 or must something else need to be done?

Hello, Richard! We appreciate you reaching out to us on TD Helps with your question regarding ordering checks.
You'll be happy to know that you may manually change your check number and it will not affect your previous checks.
The easiest way to order checks is to log in to your TD Bank online account. Go to the “Customer Service” tab and select “Order Checks”.
Your check ordering information will be securely sent to Harland Clarke so you'll be sure to receive your order on time and without errors.
SECURITY NOTE: If you changed the address on your account within the last 3 business days, then you must either place your check order at your local TD Bank or wait 3 days to place your order online.
You can also place your order by:
- Visiting Harland Clarke’s site: http://bit.ly/1epLWdL - Visiting your local TD Bank: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc - Calling us at 888-751-9000
Prices vary and will be provided at the time you place your order. For a fee you may also choose to use additional delivery and tracking services, including overnight shipping. Once you complete your order, charges will automatically be debited from your TD Bank account and your order will be shipped to the address on your account.
If you’re a business customer you may reorder checks by logging into BusinessDirect. Go to the “Service Center” and select “Order Checks”. However, do not order online if you're placing your first order of checks or have a change of address. Instead, call us at 888-751-9000 or visit your local TD Bank.
We hope this answers all of your questions, Richard. Have a nice day!
