We thank you for coming to TD Helps with your question, Dave. We'd be happy to confirm this! TD Bank does offer POD (Payable on Death) accounts in most states. To open an account listed as "Payable on Death," you would be listed as the primary account holder and another individual of your choosing may be added as the Beneficiary (or the P.O.D. Payee of the account). To begin the application process, you will need to bring your Social Security number and a valid Photo ID such as a Driver's license, State ID, or Passport into your nearest Store location. We will also need you to supply the name, address, and D.O.B. for the Beneficiary/P.O.D. Payee at the time of account opening. If you haven't already done so, we invite you to take a look at the different account options we offer to find one that fits your needs. To view and compare our Checking accounts, please visit: http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool here http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a Checking account that best fits you. To view and compare Savings account products, please click here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9. Or, if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool here http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best Savings account for your needs. Once you've decided on the best account that fits your banking needs, the account can be opened at any one of our Store locations during lobby hours. If you'd like, you may also open the account online via the links above or by calling us 888-751-9000, 24 hours a day/7 days a week. After the account is initially opened, you would just have to stop by a Store to add the P.O.D. Payee at a later date. Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores for TD Bank Store locations and hours near you. Hope this answers your question and have a nice day.
