There are a few things you'd need to bring with you to open a business checking account. If your business account is going to have multiple signers, be sure to bring them with you for the account opening process. Those who are going to be signers on the account need to bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-resident alien opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business.
If you are looking to open a Non-Profit Organization and it is Incorporated, please include the additional following information: State Website Report, Filed or Certified Business Formation Documents, or Certificate of Good Standing/Existence. Additionally, you will need to bring the Corporate Resolution documents. If your Non-Profit Organization is not incorporated, no additional documentation is required for this account type.
We hope the information provided helps, Tony. Again, thank you for considering us for your business needs and have a great day!

if our non-profit earns less than $100,000, is this account worthwhile? Would we benefit in any way?

Thanks for joining in, Gilen. We'd be glad to discuss.
If you are unsure of the account that will best suit your needs, we recommend using our Checking Selector Tool as mentioned above. After a few questions, the Selector will generate an account that should suit your needs based on the criteria you've entered.
If you have more specific questions in regards to any potential account, feel free to speak with a Business Banking Specialist by dialing 855-278-8988.
Be sure to take a look above for any documentation you may need while visiting a TD Store to open your account!
We hope to see you at a TD Store soon, Gilen and have a good day.
