I am moving to the UK for 8 months, and have both Canadian and US accounts with TD and TD Canada. Is there an affiliated bank in the UK with which it would be easiest to transfer money?

Thanks for joining us today on TD Helps, Samantha. We'd be glad to help ensure your stay overseas goes smoothly.
Currently, TD Bank is located on the East Coast of the US, from Maine to Florida. Although we are affiliated with TD Canada Trust as you've mentioned, we do not partner with any banks in the UK at this time.
We are pleased to let you know that TD Bank does not charge any foreign transactions fees for retail purchases made with your TD Bank Visa Debit Card. We'd like to let you know, you can use your TD Bank Visa Debit Card worldwide, anywhere VISA is accepted. You can also use your Debit Card to make cash withdrawals internationally at any ATM Machine that displays either the VISA or PLUS logo. Please note, ATM fees may apply; we encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your Debit Card out of the country.
Prior to your travels, we do ask that you place a Travel Notification on your account before you leave the country so you don't run into any interruptions with your Card. To do so, you may contact our 24/7 Banking Specialists at 888-751-9000 to have a Representative place a Travel Notification on your account(s).
You may also send a Secure Message through Online Banking. If you are not enrolled in Online Banking, please click here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Account Number, Debit Card Number, Social Security Number, and E-mail Address. Once you are enrolled, please sign into your account and click on the Customer Service tab and then select Send a Message. If you choose this option, please include the exact travel dates, destinations and if there will be any connecting flight if applicable.
If you need help enrolling, please contact us by dialing the number mentioned above. After account verification, our Specialists would be happy to help.
If you are unable to call or send an email, you can always visit your local TD Bank and have a Customer Service Representative place the Travel Notification for you. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find TD Bank near you.
Additionally, we also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while in the UK, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu.
If you need to contact us while you're out of the country, you may reach us at (856)-751-9000. Additionally, you can call collect from a landline at (215)-569-0518.
You are also able to take a look at a question similar to yours answered by the Canadian TD Helps Team by visiting here: http://bit.ly/1F4DmhV. In regards to transfers, you are able to contact us directly to initiate a transfer between your TD Bank and TD Canada Trust accounts. Please reach us 24/7 by dialing 877-700-2913.
If you need to transfer from a bank in the UK to your TD Bank or TD Canada Trust accounts, you may need to send a wire transfer. Please know that in order to send funds to the UK, you would need to visit a TD Store in the US or Canada depending on which institution is sending the funds.
We hope this information helps, Samantha and have a good day.
