Hi Cheryl! We'd be happy to research this for you.
Based on the information you've provided, it does sound like this check may have returned unpaid, but we'd like to confirm that for you. As TD Helps is considered an unsecure forum, we do not have access to specific account information. Please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at a local TD Bank Store. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc. We should be able to access this check and advise you if it was actually returned and provide you with the reason why.
You can also send us a secure message through your online or mobile banking to have this researched. To send a secure message, log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. Please be sure to include the check information and the date it posted to your account in your message to us. We can generally respond within 24 hours or less.
We look forward to hearing from you soon, Cheryl. Enjoy your weekend!
