I have a small inheritance in the form of a 10,000 check in Canadian funds coming to me in the near future. I would like to take advantage of any savings in TD Bank's foreign currency exchange fees by having these monies deposited in my TD Canada Trust account and then having these monies transferred to my TD account in the US. My question is this: based on this $10,000 amount, how much will I save in fees by choosing this bank to bank transfer between the two TD bank entities, as apposed to depositing the Canadian fund check directly into my American TD Bank account.
