I received an Official Check drawn on a TD Bank account and I believe it is fraudulent. I don't want to deposit the check and then be charged a fee for a returned check. There are no TD branches in my area. What should I do?

Hi, Joseph and thank you for visiting TD Helps today! We'll be glad to advise you about this check.
We have good news for you! Since you mentioned that the item you have is an Official Bank Check, you'll be glad to know that we can verify this item for you by phone. Our Banking Specialists can be reached 24/7 at 888-751-9000 for you. Since we'll need to reach our Official Check Department for you when you call, we recommend contacting us between the hours of 7:30 and 5:00, Monday through Friday for the best service.
Otherwise, we recommend that you contact the purchaser of the check directly for more information about the item, or to request a replacement.
We hope this is helpful and let us know about any other questions!
