I have a business client in Denver, CO with franchise owners in Canada. We are seeking to open an account at a Canadian bank so the Canadian franchisees can make royalty payments to that Canadian account. Is there a way to open a business checking account online at TD? Or, do you require an appointment at one of your locations? Thank you,
Susan, Denver, CO

Thanks for coming by TD Helps today, Susan!
Currently, we offer Cross Border Banking service for personal accounts only. You can transfer funds between your TD Bank US and TD Canada Trust personal accounts free of charge. If you wish to, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 at 877-700-2913. With this feature, you are able to do your banking without having to visit a TD Store! For more information, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1ienPN4.
Although we currently do not offer Cross Border banking for business accounts, you can most certainly review: http://bit.ly/1pLiv9i for more information on our Treasury Management Services. Our Specialists can tailor a program of services that your business needs, and can provide ongoing support and consultation as your business grows.
If this will work for you and you wish to open a business account, the account signer(s) must visit a TD Bank Store and be present for the account opening process along with the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-resident alien opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Prior to visiting a Store, we suggest reviewing the types of business accounts. If you take a look here, http://bit.ly/1lWgAh, the link shows the types of business Checking accounts that we offer. Our web page can even make a selection based on your needs with the Business Checking Selector tool: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw. If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone. You can reach them by dialing 855-278-8988. You could also click here: http://bit.ly/SWDqsn to fill in a form to request a call form a Small Business Banking Specialist. Additionally, we do offer Remote Deposit service.
