Thanks for writing into TD Helps, Jake! We'll be sure to provide you with some valuable information that can help you while you are abroad.
Before you leave, we recommend placing travel notification on your accounts. You may contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 to have a Customer Service Representative place travel notification on your accounts. Once your account is notated, TD Bank is now aware of your current and future locations and can greatly reduce any service interruptions. You may also send a Secured Message through Online Banking as well. If you are not enrolled in Online Banking, please click here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Once you are enrolled, please sign into your account and click on the Customer Service tab and then select "Send a message." If you choose this option, please include the exact travel dates, destinations and if there will be any connecting flights, if applicable. If you are unable to call or send an email, you can always visit your local TD Bank and have a Customer Service Representative place the travel notes for you. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
We also recommend taking more than one payment method with you as well. For a few tips to manage your money when traveling please check out: http://bit.ly/1fO8wKy, you may also want to review our international travel tips frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc.
Additionally, we'd like to make you aware of some possible fees that could occur on your account due to Non-TD ATM usage; this includes checking your balance. A Non TD-ATM fee of $3.00 may be assessed when you use a Non-TD ATM. There could be additional fees from the owner of the ATM as well. Check out: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt to view our Personal Fee Schedule.
If you should need to contact us while you are away, feel free to do so by calling us 24/7 at 856-751-9000 or via collect with operator assistance from a non- mobile telephone at 00+1-215-569-0518. You could also send us a secured message through online banking too.
We hope this information helps and let us know if you have any additional questions, Jake. Have a great time!
