Good morning, Kristina, we appreciate you choosing TD Bank for your banking needs.
Although you won't be able to make a deposit at ATMs if you haven't received your ATM card in the mail yet, you're more than welcome to make the deposit with a TD Bank teller at a TD Store location at your choice. To find out the nearest TD Store near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you have already requested an ATM card during the online new account opening process, you should expect to receive it in the mail at your address on file within 7-10 business days. If you need one immediately, feel free to visit your local TD Bank Store location, during lobby hours and you'll walk out with one in your hand! Once at the Store, please ask the Store representative to close the card which is already mailed to you since it will no longer be useful once you receive a new card at the Store.
If you have a few munities, we'd also like to go over the funds availability with you. Generally speaking, when making check deposits with a Teller, the first $100.00 is made available immediately. As you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, Check Deposits can be held up to 7 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100.00 be made available at the time of deposit, but the rest of the funds should credit to your account the following business day.
Cash deposits made at the ATM or with bank tellers are available immediately on the business day on which they are deposited.
Check deposits made at a TD Bank ATM before 8:00 PM on a business day are considered deposits made on that business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and Federal holidays. If you make a deposit at an ATM before 8:00 PM on a business day that we are open, we will consider that to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit at an ATM after 8:00 PM, or on a day we are not open, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day.
Please note that there are exceptions that may cause delays in funds availability. We invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ . On pages 38-41 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
Let us know if you have any other questions. We hope you have a wonderful day!
