Hi Wikenson! Thanks for visiting us today with your question.
It sounds like you have TD Debit Card Advance added to your account. This is a great program for emergencies as it allows TD Bank to pay some of your debit card transactions even if the funds are not available. Please keep in mind that this is a discretionary service where overdraft availability is determined electronically at the time your card is swiped or processed. Some factors for acceptance are the age of your account, the balance in the account, and the past number of overdraft occurrences.
If your debit card is being declined, then you have met the discretionary limit the bank will allow at this time. We apologize; we are unable to force transactions through or predict how much will be allowed. The longer the account stays in a positive balance, the greater the possibility is that we will approve your transactions in the future, regardless of balance.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope you have a great day, Wikenson!
