I have a non US resident friend who got a government check from the TSA. Is it possible for him to cash this govement check at a TD branch? I understand there might be a fee.
In all the other q&a's there is a mention that non-TD issued checks cannot be cashed, does this apply to treasury issued checks?
Thanks in advance from a loyal customer

Thanks for your question, Ronald. We'd be glad to clarify.
Though you are able to negotiate non-TD checks by visiting a TD Store, you must be an account holder to do so. Additionally, the account that the check is being cashed against must have enough funds to cover the total amount of the check until the funds are verified.
If you or your friend have any additional questions, we recommend reaching out to a TD Store near you directly. To take a look at TD Stores and their hours please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps, Ronald and have a good day.
