Welcome to TD Helps, George. We're sorry to hear that you would like to close your account, but will be glad to guide you in the right direction for assistance.
If your HSA account is currently at zero balance, you may close it by contacting us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visiting your local TD Bank Store, during normal lobby hours with your valid photo ID. For a listing of TD locations and hours, please check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you currently have a remaining balance on your TD HSA account and wish to rollover the balance to your new HSA account with another financial institution, you may either fill out an HSA Rollover form at your new bank, or ask your new bank to send a transfer request to the TD Bank IRA/HSA department using the information below:
TD Bank, N.A.
151 Corley Mill Road
Lexington, SC, 29072
Both mail and fax requests should be sent in Attention to the HSA Transfer Department and should be notarized prior to sending. We apologize as this form cannot be emailed at this time. Once the funds are transferred and your balance reaches zero, you may request to have your account closed by using the options provided previously.
If you have any additional questions about your HSA account, our dedicated HSA Specialists are available Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm or Saturday 9:00am to 1:30pm to assist you. Please call (800) 597-4437 and choose Option 3. If you would like to speak to a Representative in person, feel free to visit any TD Store during lobby hours.
We hope our answer helps and have a great weekend!
