Thank you for bringing your question to TD Helps today, Kenzhebekov. We are happy to provide the information you requested.
For the protection of TD Bank Customer's account, all TD Visa Debit Cards have daily limits placed on them. For more information on the daily limit amounts, please take a look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (Pages 43 & 44).
While traveling, if you are expecting to spend more than what is permitted on your daily limit, we do have some options available to increase the daily withdrawal limit.
If you have access to a fax machine, you can send us a written request via fax. You can send the fax to our Fulfillment Team at 856-533-1138, and please include the following information:
• Subject: Limit Increase • Account Number • Debit/ATM Card Number • Your Name • Contact Telephone Number • Amount of increase or decrease • Indicate - Visa, POS, ATM • Your Signature
Another option for you would be sending us a secure message via your Online Banking. Once you're logged in to www.tdbank.com, please click on the "Customer Service" tab and then select "Send a Message" located under the "Message Center" section. Please note that in order to request an increase via fax, phone, or email, your account is required to be open for at least 90 days.
If you have not enrolled, you can do so for free by following this link: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, Social Security number, your email address and your current TD ATM/Debit card. If you run into any problems enrolling or if you do not have a TD ATM/Debit card to enroll online, as you mentioned that you're traveling in Kazakhstan currently, you can reach us 24/7 at 856-751-9000 via mobile telephone or calling us collect with an operator's assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 215-569-0518. Our Banking Specialists are here to answer any additional questions you may have about your account and your debit card.
Please keep in mind that the increase will not be permanent but will remain in effect for the business day when the increase is processed. Additionally, if you would like a permanent limit increase, please visit any TD Bank to make this request.
Please keep in mind, if you're just visiting Kazakhstan and don't live there, we recommend placing a travel notification on your account. This helps us recognize unauthorized transactions on your card, and can prevent your card from becoming blocked. Please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
If you haven't already done so, the easiest way to set a travel notification is to send us a Secured Message from your TD Bank Online Banking account, using the login link provided above. You can then send us a message by clicking on the Customer Service tab, then using the Send a Message link. Please include your exact travel dates, destinations and any connecting flight information if applicable. Or, feel free to contact a Representative directly at the number listed above, we're available 24/7 to assist you.
We hope the information provided helps. Let us know if you have any further questions. Safe travels!
