Thanks for visiting us here on TD Helps. We appreciate you considering TD Bank for your banking needs.
We'd be glad to discuss the different Savings options with you. Prior to getting started, first you'd want to decide the best account to meet your needs.
We offer many types of Savings accounts, each one with its own features and interest rates. We invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 to find the interest rate for each Savings account available at TD Bank, as well as other information you need to get started. After following the link, please click on the "Rates and Fees" tab, which can provide you the current rates. But please keep in mind that this interest rate is subject to change. Also, you can take advantage of our Savings Selector Tool here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM. It will provide you with a personalized Savings account recommendation to help you find the best account that fits your financial savings goals!
Once you have decided the type of the account you wish to open, you may open your account online through the links above. You may also feel free to call us directly 24/7 at (888) 751-9000 with any questions you may have and set up your new account via telephone.
As always, you are welcome to stop by your nearest TD Bank Store to speak with a banking specialist regarding new account options to determine what product type fits you the best. To find our TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
You'll need the following: Your Social Security number, One of the following: Driver's license, State ID, or Passport.
Also, in regards to the frequency of interest, the compounding and crediting of interest happens on all of our interest-bearing accounts (except Holiday Club and Club Saver accounts) on a monthly basis. For our Holiday Club and Club Saver accounts, the interest is compounded daily and credited at maturity. For further details, check out our Personal Deposit Account Agreement (Pages 27-37) here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ.
If you would be interested in any investment options or related accounts, we recommend connecting with our brokerage affiliate, TD Ameritrade. They would be able to assist with the most informed investment decisions and discuss the specific investment accounts they offer. For more information regarding TD Ameritrade, please visit http://bit.ly/1BMZkQl. To reach a Representative 24/7 please call 800-400-3603.
