As far as the account opening process – there are two options that you may consider to set up your new accounts with us.
First, if you are planning a trip to the United States in the near future, you may certainly stop by any of our Store locations in person with a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. To find out TD store location near you, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. As you have stated that you would like to open up a joint account for your daughter, we recommend opening an account at your local Store so that your daughter may be added during the account opening process.
If you would rather open your account using a different method, you may do so as well, however, please keep in mind that you will need to visit a Store location to add your daughter. If you prefer, you may speak with a Banking Specialists via telephone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please note that during the new account opening process, we will need to verify your identity. And, depending on how long you have been outside the US, your most recent credit history may be taken into consideration for this purpose.
When calling from outside the US, please dial direct 1-856-751-9000 or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518 if you are able to gain access to a land line.
We hope this helped answer your question, Nelson, and please enjoy your weekend.
