Welcome to TD Helps, Eva. We hope you enjoy your time in Seattle and will be glad to provide you with ways to access cash while there.
When traveling, you can make an ATM withdrawal from any machine that displays the VISA or NYCE logo. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your debit card out of state. If you are unable to find an ATM that is compatible with the TD Bank Debit Card, it may be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance. If you have a TD debit card, when you're making a purchase with the card, some stores will allow you to request cash back. This will be a free alternative to making an ATM withdraw.
To avoid any interruptions to your TD Debit Card usage, we request that you place a travel notification on your account. You can do so by calling our 24/7 Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000 or visiting a local TD Bank Store. To find a TD Bank near you, please check out http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you are enrolled in Online Banking, another option would be to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the travel notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first login to your TD Bank online account. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center.” In your message, please include the dates and destination(s) you will be traveling. If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number and e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see unusual transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
We hope this information helps, Eva and enjoy the rest of your day.
