Hello Joe, you came to the right place for assistance. Welcome to TD Helps!
From reading your concerns, it sounds like you are speaking in regards to your TD Online Banking for your account, which you share with your father. If so, please understand that all signers on a joint account have full access to this account. Access includes TD Debit Card purchases, withdrawals, and even TD Online Banking.
If your father wishes to no longer have access to your joint account via TD Online Banking, he can call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000. After account verification, we would be happy to assist your father with removing this account from his online access. Please note, he may add this account back to his Online Banking at any point by giving us a call.
However, if you wish to have an individual account so that he can not have access, we'd be happy to provide some useful information. Having an individual account means only you, the account holder, will have access to the funds and Online Banking.
We'd like to share with you some details on the different types of Checking and Savings accounts we currently offer. To view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a Checking account that is the best fit for you. If you decide to open a new account, we currently offer many ways in which you can open a new account with TD Bank. You can open the account online by selecting the "Open Account" box located beneath each specific Account by following the links above. You could also contact us at the number provided above to speak with our Banking Specialists who are available 24/7 for your convenience. If you prefer, you may stop by any TD Store for further assistance on opening an Account. To find the nearest TD Bank Store please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps and please do not hesitate to let us know should you have any other questions. Enjoy your weekend.
