Hello, I was approved of a checkings account i was wondering how long will it take before I recieve my card by mail or do I need to fund the account first before a card is mailed out to me ?

It's great to hear that joined the TD family, and we'll be more than happy to help.
Typically speaking, when you open a new account with TD Bank, if requested, a Debit Card will either be mailed to the address we have on file within 10 business days, or your card may also be provided to you at the time of account opening, if you opted to open your account at a TD Store location.
If you're unsure of whether you may have requested to have a Debit Card mailed to your address, you're welcome to contact us directly, and we'll be happy to clear up any confusion!
Our Banking Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached by dialing 1-888-751-9000. You're also able to visit a TD Store location to speak with a Customer Service Representative, during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. Should you decide to visit a TD Store location, not only will they be able to confirm if a Debit Card is being mailed to your address, but they may also be able to provide you with a debit card on the spot, as all of our Store locations offer instant issue machines. You'll walk out with a card in your hand that same day!
Your final option to reach a Specialist is to send us a Secure Message from your Online Banking, and you can log in directly by using this link: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. As your account is new, you may not have access to your Online Banking yet, and if you don't, that's okay! Simply reach out to a Specialist at the number provided above, and they'll be happy to help you enroll.
Once you've successfully logged into your Online Banking, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'. If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
