Thank you for reaching out to TD Helps, Joe! We're glad that you are considering us for your banking needs and would be happy to help answer your question.
We'd like to inform you that TD Bank here in the US is located on the East Coast, and our footprint is from Maine to Florida; therefore, when submitting an application online, your selection is limited to these areas. Please know that we also provide many options to meet your needs if you can't make it into a TD Bank Store – including our Bank-by-Phone option or our TD Bank Online Banking. If you are experiencing any difficulties submitting an online application, no worries! We'd be happy to provide other options to you!
If you happen to be a TD Canada Trust Account holder and are looking to open an account with TD Bank in the US, we ask that you connect with our Cross Border banking Specialist, 24/7, at 1-877-700-2913. They would be happy to answer any additional questions you may have and can also help with the account opening process.
If you do not have a TD Canada Trust Account, to open an account with TD Bank, if you happen to be in the area, please visit a local TD Store for further assistance. You can find a list of TD Stores by checking out: http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you are a non-US Resident, you will need to bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a valid non-US Passport or Visa with photo and the second form of valid ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
We hope the information provided helps, Joe. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
