Hi Osvaldo, thanks for reaching out to us through TD Helps. We're glad to hear that you're interested in opening an account and came to us with your savings concerns.
We offer several different Savings accounts here at TD Bank to fit your needs and you can find a list of all available options here: http://bit.ly/1l6nLQ7. If you click on 'Rates and Fees,' you can compare what our current interest rates are for the different products to help choose which one may be best for you. Still not sure which account you like even after reviewing them? No problem! You can try our great Savings Selector tool to get some advice on which account would be best: http://bit.ly/1hXi2wF. We do want bring this to your attention that a popular account for minors that you may want to check out is our Young Saver account. There's no minimum balance to keep and no monthly maintenance fees while still a minor. We also recommend taking a look at http://bit.ly/1gkKBA3 for more detailed information on this product type.
As far as making additional deposits, please know that there are no restrictions on depositing funds into a Savings or Money Market account, however, please do keep in mind that Savings and Money Market account are regulated by the governmental Regulation D, a restriction which limits the amount of pre-authorized debits per statement cycle. This regulation does not restrict any deposits made into a Savings account, only debits or transfers out of the account. The limitations on Money Market and Savings accounts include up to 6 pre-authorized debits/transfers (overdraft protection, transfer to checking account, transfer to any other account) per statement period. Please review pages 6 & 7 of our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for more information about this regulation.
You can definitely open an account with us if you are a minor. However, you would need a Parent or Guardian to sign as a joint Account Owner with you while you are under the age of 18. You can stop by the nearest TD Bank Store with your Parent or Guardian to open an account when you're ready. Just come in and both bring your valid photo ID (Passport, Driver's License, State-Issued ID, Student ID, etc.) and Social Security Numbers to get started. Please find the TD Bank Store closest to you here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you have any questions before you come in, please feel free to reach out to a Banking Specialist anytime 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Our dedicated Specialists are here to answer any questions or concerns you may have about our products and services available!
Thanks for connecting with us Osvaldo – we hope this information helps! Have a great Holiday!
