Thanks for stopping by TD Helps today, Ekaterina. We'd be happy to provide you with options to get logged back into your account and to close your account.
First, we'd like to let you know that we are committed to your satisfaction as a Customer. If you have moved outside the United States, we do have some options for you to complete your banking without the need to visit a TD Bank Store.
We understand that it is expensive to call overseas but we're glad to say that you are able to call us at no charge to you. You may call us collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518. After account verification, one of our Specialists will be happy to help you log into your Online Banking account, and also review your options for banking while in Moscow. If you do choose to continue closing your account, they'll also be able to explain or help with methods to do so.
If your account has remaining funds, the easiest way to close the account from abroad is via mailed written request. You may request to close your account and any available money will be sent to you by check. You can mail a request with the following instructions:
▪Your name ▪Your account number(s) ▪Your request to close the account(s) ▪Your current address
For your security, please have the letter notarized. It can then be mailed to:
TD Bank, N.A
P.O. Box 1377
If you prefer, another option is to remove any remaining funds from your current location, such as via your TD Bank Visa Debit Card, check, or transfer. If you choose to use this method, once the funds have been removed, please contact a Specialist 24/7 from outside the United States at the number mentioned above. It will be necessary to make a specific request to close the account once the balance is at zero; please note, the account will not close automatically. Or if it's easier, once the balance is zero you can also send a Representative your request to close your account via Secure Message, after logging in to your Online Banking. To do so, please log in at our full website here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq, click on the Customer Service tab, and then use the Send a Message link to talk with us about your account questions or requests.
We hope this information is useful for you, Ekaterina. If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to reply on TD Helps. Enjoy your day.
