Welcome to TD Helps, Mark. We'd be glad to review ways you're able to check your balance.
You are able to call our automated line to check your balance, make transfers and more by dialing 888-751-9000. The automated system will ask for your account or Debit Card number. Next you will be asked to enter your phone code. For first time users, this phone code will be the last four digits of your Social Security Number. If your phone code is currently your Social Security Number, you will be asked to change your code to something different.
If you have any trouble setting up your automated system settings, feel free to select "0" at any time and our Banking Specialists will be glad to assist you.
As you've mentioned that you're travelling, we recommend placing a Travel Notification on your account prior to your trip. You are able to call the number mentioned above to place this notification, visit any TD Store during lobby hours or send a secure message via Online Banking. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." Be sure in your message to include any connecting flights or multiple destinations.
We hope this helps, Mark and have a good day.
