If you still choose to close your account, we understand and would be happy to help. If you have a Personal Savings account with a remaining balance, we'd recommend visiting any TD Bank Store near you to withdraw the funds and request that the account be closed. Please visit the above link to find a convenient location for you.
If the balance in your Savings account is already zero, or you have a remaining account that funds can be transferred to, you may also call us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000. Or, if the balance is zero, you're also welcome to send a Secure Message via your Online Banking account by logging it at http://bit.ly/1eaISlq and clicking the Customer Service tab. You'll find a link to Send a Message there, where you can enter your request. Please be sure to specify the Savings account number you wish to close if you choose to use this method.
Another easy way to close the account with a balance is via mailed written request. You may request to close your account and have any available money in your account be sent to you by check. You can mail a request with the following instructions:
▪Your name ▪Your account number(s) ▪Your request to close the account(s) ▪Your current address ▪Your signature
For your security, please have the letter notarized. It can then be mailed to:
TD Bank, N.A Your Home Store. If you know which your Home Store is, you may find the address listed here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please note that if you'd like to close a Business account, this must be completed at any TD Bank Store location.
