I want to open a savings account for my daughter. I was wondering if once you open up a student saving account, do they get a debit that they can use when they go out?

Thanks for your interest in an account for your daughter, Nancy. We'd be glad to help.
First, we recommend taking a look at the accounts we have to offer. You are able to take a look at our checking accounts here: https://go.td.com/2b4QJjI. We also offer a Checking Selector Tool found here: https://go.td.com/1gAWlhY which can help with a custom recommendation.
Our savings account products are available for view here: https://go.td.com/1g5vhXQ. Just like for our checking accounts, we offer a Savings Selector Tool found here: https://go.td.com/1hQscMj.
Once you've decided on an account that fits your daughter's needs, we recommend that you both visit any TD Store during lobby hours to open an account. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Please know that upon your visit you both will need a Social Security Number and a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.).
Keep in mind that savings accounts are able to have ATM cards only. These cards can be used at any ATM however they are not Visa capable so they are unable to be used in stores or online.
We hope this information helps, Nancy. Have a good day.
