Thank you for visiting us today and we appreciate your interest in doing business with us! We'd be glad to tell you how to get started with a safe deposit box.
First, in order to rent a Safe Deposit Box, you must be 18 years old and have an active TD Bank account. We do reserve these for our Customers due to limited availability.
Once you have opened an account or are prepared to do so at one of our Stores, you may request to rent a Safe Deposit Box at your local TD Bank. To determine the availability of a safe deposit box in the size you prefer and the prices for those that are available, we suggest contacting your preferred Store directly, as this can vary by location. Fees for safe deposit boxes are paid annually and please keep in mind that depending on the type of account you select, the first year payment is due up front, and the next payment will be due after one year.
If you're interested in opening an account with us, we recommend taking a look at the types of accounts we have to see what you might be interested in. We offer a variety of Checking and Savings accounts, and some even currently provide certain safe deposit boxes free the first year. To see more about our Checking accounts and compare your options, visit http://bit.ly/UR7yr0 or you can use our Checking Selector http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU to help you choose the account that is the best fit for you. To view and compare our Savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM to help you find the best Savings account for your needs.
When considering an account, we recommend clicking on the "View Guide" link below each account option. This page will detail for you any fees and terms for each of the accounts.
We also offer many ways to open accounts. You can open your accounts online by clicking on the "Open Account" box, which will be listed at the bottom of each account detail. To get started, you'll need the following: your Social Security number and ID (Driver's License, State ID, or Passport). You can also call us to help you with the account opening process via phone by dialing 888-751-9000. Our Customer Service Representatives are available 24/7 to assist you!
If you would prefer, you're more than welcome to open both your account and safe deposit box at one time, by visiting us at a TD Store. For hours and locations near you, take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We certainly hope this answers all of your questions, Srividya.
Thanks again for your interest! We hope to meet you and continue our conversation at one of our Stores soon.
