Good morning, Ronnie!
It's great to hear that you're interested in joining the TD Family, and we're happy to announce that if you are a U.S. citizen with a Social Security Number, you'll be able to open an account with us, even if you are not currently in the United States!
Before we begin on how this may be completed, we'd first like to invite you to check out the current accounts that we offer. If you were interested in a Checking account, feel free to use the link here: https://go.td.com/2tX7kAh. If you believe that a Savings account may better fit your needs, check out this link: https://go.td.com/2bSlkVn. If you're unsure, you're welcome to use our Selector Tool here: https://go.td.com/2sx4N2E. After answering a few simple questions, you will be provided with a personalized recommendation!
Once you're ready to open your account, as you are not currently in the United States, you may simply call us to have this completed. Banking Specialist are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-888-751-9000, and will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, as well as start the account opening process with you.
If you plan on returning to the United States in the near future, you're also welcome to stop by the TD Store location of your choosing, and after speaking with a Customer Service Representative during lobby hours, they'll also be happy to assist.
Whichever method you choose, it's important to note that you will need to have a valid form of I.D., as well as your Social Security Number, handy, as these will be needed to complete the account opening process.
As you mentioned adding your sister to your account as Power of Attorney, we ask that you contact a TD Store location for further assistance. We apologize for any inconvenience; however, as this information can vary, we would be unable to assist you at this time.
We hope this information was helpful, Ronnie. Have a great weekend.
