My employer said it all depends on the bank how quick the paycheck gets deposited into the checking account.

Good question, Sarah! We'll be glad to share some information with you regarding direct deposits.
Since it depends on when the direct deposit was initiated during your payment cycle, it could take anywhere between 1-2 payment cycles for the direct deposit to go through your account effectively.
The funds from your direct deposit are made available to you on the date designated by your employer. These deposits are processed during our overnight process, generally between the hours of 11 PM and 6 AM and will become available for use once the process completes. We invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ. On pages 39-41 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
We hope this answers your question and feel free to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 if you should have any questions, Sarah. Take care and have a great night!
