My local branch office told me that TD Bank does not provide chip-and-pin cards, but American magnetic-strip cards don't always work in Europe. I need a chip and pin card before April. Thank you

Good of you to stop by, Mari! We'll be sure to provide some assistance regarding your debit card inquiry.
Although TD Bank currently does not provide this feature as of yet, we'd like to point out that you can use your debit card wherever Visa is accepted. We do recommend carrying one than one method of payment while you are traveling as well. Check out: http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu for some travel tips that you may find useful. You may also want to review our frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc.
Before you leave, we also recommend placing a travel notification on your accounts; just give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Once your account is notated, TD Bank will be aware of your current and future locations, which can greatly reduce any service interruptions. You may also send a Secure Message through Online Banking as well. If you are not enrolled in online banking, please click here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Once you are enrolled, please sign into your account and click on the Customer Service tab and then select, Send a Message. If you choose this option, please include the exact travel dates, destinations and if there will be any connecting flights, if applicable. If you are unable to call or send an email, you can always visit your local TD Bank and have a Customer Service Representative place the travel notes for you. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
If you should need to contact us while you are abroad, feel free to do so 24/7 at 1-856-751-9000 or collect with operators assistance from a non-mobile telephone at 00+1-215-569-0518.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you need additional assistance, Mari! Take care and have a great trip.
