If you'd like to stop payment on a check you have written that hasn't been presented to your account for payment yet, please give us a call 24/7 to speak with a Banking Specialist at 888-751-9000. We would be happy to assist you in placing the stop payment upon account verification. Please keep in mind that depending on your Checking account type, there may be a fee applied for a stop payment. You may also place a stop payment via Online Banking. To request a stop online, you will need to first log in to your online banking account. If you have personal TD accounts and are signed up for our retail online banking, please click here http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. If you are a TD Bank BusinessDirect user, please direct your browser to http://bit.ly/1rvBmq8. Please use the Customer Service tab and locate the Stop Payment link to continue.
In addition, you may also stop by your nearest TD Bank Store location to request the stop payment request in person. To find out TD store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
