Thanks for getting in touch with us and great question, Manju!
As one of our Customers, your friend has the option of requesting funds from you using our Person-to-Person Payments service, available via their Online Banking account. If they are already enrolled, they can click here to sign in: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. If they have not enrolled yet and have their TD ATM/Debit card handy, they can begin here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Again, they will need their TD ATM/Visa Debit card, account number, Social Security number and email address. For assistance with enrollment, they can call us at 888-751-9000, available 24/7. After account verification, our Specialists would be happy to help!
Once they have enrolled and are logged in, under the Person-to-Peron tab they can select the "Request Money" option. To add the person they are looking to receive funds from (you), they can select the "Add a Contact" link located beside the "Request From" field. They will want to fill in the necessary fields including your email address or mobile phone number and "save" the information (this is how you will receive your notification of funds request). They can follow the prompts, and they will then be asked to review the request on the next page. When they are finished, they can select "Send Request." You will then receive this request including instructions to complete the transfer! Your friend can reach our Tech Support Specialists anytime 24/7 at 800-493-7562 for assistance in using this feature.
Please note that fees can apply for this service. For more information on the Fee Schedule, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
If you are located within our footprint from Maine to Florida, we can also let you know that you're welcome to stop in at any of our Stores nearby to make a deposit to your friend's account. Feel free to find a listing here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Otherwise, we can recommend that you reach out to your own financial institution, which may be able to provide you other options for sending the funds to your friend directly.
We hope this is helpful, Manju! Thanks again for writing in and enjoy your evening.
