Welcome to TD Helps, Abiy!
This is a great question, and we'll be more than happy to help!
Before we begin, we'd like to take a moment to explain that, currently, you are speaking with TD Bank, partner of TD Canada Trust in the United States. Based on the information you have provided, it sounds as though you are looking to transfer funds from your TD Canada Trust account to your account here with TD Bank.
If this is the case, we'd like to recommend that you speak with TD Canada Trust for all your available options, and as you'll be performing a Cross Border Banking transfer, you may call and speak with a Cross Border Banking Specialists directly. To reach a Specialist, simply dial 877-700-2913, and select option 1 to speak with a Specialist from TD Canada Trust.
Additionally, you mentioned that once your funds have been credited to your account with TD Bank, you would like to then transfer those funds to another financial institution. The method in which this can be completed may vary depending on whether you are attempting to transfer funds to an account in your name, or a friends. We'll be happy to provide you with all your options just in case.
If you are attempting to transfer the funds from your TD Bank account to an account you may have with another financial institution, you may take advantage of TD Bank's External Transfer feature. To access this feature, you will first want to log into your Personal Online Banking, which you can do from here: https://go.td.com/SMUhhl. If you haven't yet enrolled in online banking, we'd like to recommend that you call and speak with one of our Banking Specialists at 1-888-751-9000, who are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience.
Once you've fully logged in, you'll want to click on the 'Transfers' tab, which can be found on the top, left hand side of your screen. Then, under the section that reads 'Help & Related Tasks', select the blue hyperlink that reads 'Transfer to or from external accounts'. If you have never used this feature, you may need to add in your external account information, which can be completed by selecting the 'Add a New Account' hyperlink. Once this has been completed, simply enter in the amount of your transfer, what account you would like your transfer to come from and to, the date you would like the transfer to be completed, and finally a memo, if you'd like.
If you were looking to transfer funds to a friend of family member's account at another financial institution, we ask that you visit a TD Store location to perform a domestic wire transfer. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and in the event that a wire transfer will need to be performed at a TD Store location, we'd like to recommend speaking with a Specialist from TD Canada Trust about having an international wire transfer performed directly from your account with them.
We hope this information was helpful, Abiy.
Thanks for stopping by TD Helps today. Take care, and have a great weekend.
