Good morning, and happy Tuesday, Orlando.
We appreciate you coming to TD Helps for assistance with your transfer, and we'll be more than happy to help!
Here at TD Bank, we're happy to offer all of our Customers with the ability to perform external transfers directly from their Personal Online Banking, and we'll gladly walk you through the steps for your first time. While TD Bank and TD Ameritrade share the same TD shield, we are different entities, and to perform a transfer to your account with TD Ameritrade, you will need to take advantage of our External Transfer feature.
To get started, you'll first want to log into your Personal Online Banking, which you can do by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet enrolled, that's okay, as you can start the process using this link: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. To fully enroll, you'll need your account number, debit card number, a valid email address, and your social security number.
Once you've successfully logged in, to access TD Bank's External Transfer feature, you'll first want to click on the 'Transfers' tab towards the top, left hand side of your screen. From here, you'll next want to click on the 'With Accounts Outside TD' tab, which you can find towards the center of your screen. If this is your first time performing an external transfer, you may need to accept some terms and agreements, but after doing so, you'll be read to add your account with TD Ameritrade!
To add a new account, you'll want to click the green 'Add a New Account' hyperlink, which you find under the 'Transfer' box, towards the center of your screen. Next, in the 'Account Type' section, you'll want to select 'Brokerage', and after doing so, you'll have the option to select 'TD Ameritrade' in the 'Brokerage Account' section. Then, you'll need to enter in your broker account number and the checking account number you have with TD Ameritrade. Once you have done so, click 'Next.'
Now that your external account with TD Ameritrade has been saved, from the main External Transfer screen you can enter in the amount of your transfer, the 'To' and 'From' account, the date you'd like your transfer to be sent, and a memo, if you'd like to add one. To finalize your transfer, simply click 'Continue!'
If you have any trouble making your transfer, or any additional questions, we're here to help! Our Tech Support Team can be reached by simply dialing 1-800-493-7562, and for your convenience, are here to assist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As always, you may also visit your nearest TD Store location, during lobby hours, to speak with a Customer Service Representative. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We sincerely hope this helped, Orlando, and we thank you again for stopping by!
Take care, and have an amazing start to your Tuesday.
