Hi Caroline, thanks for writing in.
If the check in question was drawn off of a TD Bank account you may cash the check at any TD location. If it is not drawn off of a TD account, you may only cash the check against your account if you have funds available in your account to cover the amount of the check. For a listing of our Store locations and hours please view: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
You may also deposit the check into your account with one of our Tellers at any TD Bank Store. If you have been with TD Bank longer than 30 days, you will have $100 dollars available instantly and the remaining amount will clear at the earliest the following business day. If you have been with the bank less than 30 days, there will be nothing available immediately and it can take 7-10 business days to clear. We recommend reviewing our Personal Deposit Account Agreement http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for you to view for more information. Starting on page 38 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
Don't hesitate to reply back if you have any other questions. Take care, Caroline.
