As far as the account opening process – there are two options that you may consider to set up your new accounts with us.
First, if you are planning a trip to the United States in the near future, you may certainly stop by any of our Store locations in person with a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. To find out TD store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
You may also speak with one of our 24/7 Banking Specialists via telephone. Please note that during the new account opening process, we will need to verify your identity. And, depending on how long you have been outside the US, your most recent credit history may be taken into consideration for this purpose.
When calling from outside US, please dial direct 1-856-751-9000 or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518 if you are able to gain access to a land line.
We hope you find our answers helpful, Noni, and please don’t hesitate to return to TD Helps if you have any further questions.
