Welcome to the TD Helps Community, Neil. We're glad to assist you today.
TD Bank does not charge any foreign transactions fees for purchases made with your TD Bank Visa Debit card. This means that when using your card with a merchant, TD Bank will not charge you a fee or percentage to convert the other currency to U.S. Dollars.
If you choose to use your card for an ATM withdrawal, please note that each withdrawal, transfer, and balance inquiry made at an ATM not owned by TD is subject to a $3.00 fee, which is charged by TD Bank the same day the transaction is made (subject to change). Please check out: http://go.td.com/1cTejgt for more information on our current Fee Schedule.
Other fees that may be assessed for an ATM withdrawal, including currency conversion, would be charged by the financial institution that owns or operates the ATM. You may refer to the ATM at the time of withdrawal or that bank directly for their fee information. Also, please refer to http://go.td.com/1kb17UQ. (pg. 44-45) for more information.
If you have any questions, Dao, feel free to reach us 24/7 at 888-751-9000, or stop in at any TD Bank Store listed here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. If you are planning a trip, we'd also recommend providing us your travel notation at that time, if you haven't already done so.
We hope this helps, Neil!
