I currently have a relationship checking and mortgage with TD Bank which affords me a checking account with no annual monthly fee regardless of the account balance. My girlfriend needs to get a new bank account due to Bank of American's unsatisfactory services and I would like to know if we can household the accounts together since we live at the same residence so that she does not have to worry about monthly fees if her account dips below the threshold one month. Additionally she holds a brokerage account and IRA with TD Ameritrade, which I know is only loosely linked to the Bank side.

Hi Tony, we're happy that you've chosen to come to TD Helps today with your question.
We'd like to take this opportunity to let you know that as a TD Relationship Checking account holder, the maintenance fees will be waived on one additional Checking account and one additional Savings account. Feel free to click here: http://bit.ly/1m2Hll5 for all the details and information you may like to know about our Relationship Checking account. If you wish, you do have the option of adding her as a signer onto your account. This can be done by both of you visiting your local TD Bank Store with your identifications. Kindly keep in mind that you're unable to remove a signer from an account. If you decide to remove a signer, please know that the account will have to be closed and a new one opened.
We want you to know that we offer many different types of Checking accounts. Prior to opening an account we encourage you and your girlfriend to view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/Wczmq0 or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a Checking account that is the best fit.
She can open an account online by clicking onto "Open Account." Other options are via phone 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or by visiting a TD Bank Store. For hours and locations, take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Hope this helps and have a great day!
