If you are trying to transfer funds to a TD Bank account that you are a signer on, you'd have to be enrolled in Online Banking to make an internal transfer between your accounts; under the "Transfers" tab. If you are not enrolled in Online Banking, please click here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number and your email address. If you do not have an ATM/Visa Debit card or you'd like to have an account added to be viewable alongside your other account(s) via Online Banking, please contact our 24/7 Digital Banking Department at 800-493-7562 and one of our Specialists will be happy to assist.
Transferring funds is easier than it has ever been before with our new feature called the "Person-to-Person" transfer, which allows you to send and receive funds via your Online Banking. You can send money domestically (single or recurring) to any account inside and outside TD Bank without having to visit a Store! We invite you to check out http://bit.ly/1cz3aim for all of the exciting details. To use this feature, you will need to be logged in to Online Banking found here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. When sending funds, you will be able to send money by creating a Contact and adding their email address or mobile number. Also, you have two delivery options when sending a Person-to-Person payment. There is the three business day option or the next business day delivery. Please note, the next day delivery option is not available for Savings accounts. To qualify for the next day delivery option, you must wait 90 days from your first successful 3-day transfer and must not have had any transactions that overdrew your account in the past 90 days.
Once you have logged into your Online Banking, select the “Person-to-Person” tab to enroll for this specific feature (The “Person-to-Person” tab should show at the top of your page after logging into your TD Bank Online Banking. As long as you have a US address on file, you should be able to send funds using this option to another US account). You will then be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and the email address we have on file for you. Next, we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete, you’ll be ready to send the payment which the other person will receive in one business day or three business days as per your selection.
If you're looking to transfer funds from your TD Bank account to an account that you have at a different Financial Institution, you will have the option of sending an external transfer. Similarly to the Person-to-Person transfer option, you will also have two delivery options with external transfers as well, three day or next day delivery. Also, the next day delivery option will become available to you after 90 days of your first successful 3 day transfer and your account must be without any overdrafts in the past 90 days.
To use this feature, you can do so by using the "Transfers" tab. After selecting the "Transfers" tab you will then have to click "Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank." You would have to add your account at a different institution. To do so, select "Add a New Account." You will then be prompted to select the type of account followed by the account and routing numbers. Once you enter the required fields, the transfer service will then display whether or not you can make an immediate transfer. In some cases, a trial deposit is initiated at the receiving institution for verification purposes.

To add a signer to an existing TD Bank Checking or Savings account, both the account holder(s) and the prospective signer would have to visit a TD Store and speak with a Customer Service Representative. Please make sure to bring proper identification (Driver's License, State issued photo ID, Passport, etc.) and Social Security number.
