Thank you for coming to TD Helps with your question, Gurdev. We will be happy to give you the procedures to follow.
Generally, in order to add a joint account signer to an existing TD Bank account, both parties must be visiting a TD Bank store together along with the new signer. Please make sure both parties, and you, bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
If your father is unable to do so, we recommend having your mother to reach out to her local TD Bank Store or the TD location where their account was originally opened at by telephone or in person to determine if there is another option to add another signer to their account without your father being present. To find out TD store locations and telephone numbers near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
